New Kayaks

In addition to renting kayaks and canoes, we also carry a variety of new kayaks for sale. Whether you have been paddling for years and are looking to upgrade to a touring kayak or a beginner who wants a stable and reliable kayak, we can help you find a kayak that fits your needs.

Emotion Kayaks: Great for beginners, most of the recreational kayaks in our fleet are manufactured by Emotion as they are reliable, stable, and offer a great introductory kayaking experience. In addition to being ideal kayaks for a relaxing paddle around the wetlands, they have also proven to be an excellent platform for fishing the small sloughs that are too small for drift boats.

Eddyline KayaksTypically more advanced than Emotion Kayaks, Eddylines are often longer and  narrower (Note: this means less stability). Designed for open water excursions, the hull design on these beautiful boats makes them faster and allows for better tracking than a smaller, wider boat. Eddyline produces kayaks for all skills levels ranging from one step above a recreational kayak to a multi-day touring kayak.

Perception Kayaks: Offering a good combination of recreational and touring attributes, Perception Kayaks are often quick enough for a full day on the bay, but also stable enough that a novice kayaker can enjoy themselves. The Perception Acadia II is the staple of our recreational tandem fleet because it is stable enough the accommodate two adults comfortably.

Hobie KayaksTired of paddling a kayak? Try peddling. Due to the peddle-power of the MirageDrive, these extra stable sit-on top kayaks are virtually hands free and can be peddled by up to two people. Hobies are especially popular in the fishing and photography community as a variety of accessories are available that make this boat the Swiss Army Knife of kayaks.

Stand Up Paddle BoardsSimilar to a surfboard, Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP) give the paddler a higher viewpoint than a kayaker that makes you feel like your walking on water. The design of the board and specialized foam makes the transition from the dock to the platform easier than you’d expect. Once on the board, paddlers either stand or kneel as they paddle to their destination of choice.

Other Kayaks: Occasionally, we get kayaks that don't fit any of the above definitions, such as wood-strip or kit built kayaks, or other brands. They can be found here.
