Scappoose Bay is a wetlands / watershed area rich in cultural history and home to a variety of migratory birds, bank beaver, osprey, otters, turtles, heron and eagles. It's a naturalists hideaway where few boats travel and a secluded waterway yet to be rediscovered. The bay offers paddlers all the right gifts we are looking for when we take the time to paddle...close to everywhere, peacefulness, solitude, safe, calm protected waters, a great variety of wildlife and marine habitat, and the sense of getting out and exploring areas you've never been.
We've put together several easy paddle, guided tours or rent a kayak from us and explore on your own. Additionally, we offer special Nocturnal cruises, and even overnight camp outs with star gazing astronomy, bonfires, good stories, great food and all the equipment for a perfect get-a-way. Below are three of our favorite routs for kayakers to take, depending on their skill level. However, ask us about any seasonal sights, as well as new waterways that open from changes in water level.
