Places to Stay.

If you are looking for a place to stay, here are a few local Bed and Breakfasts:

Guided Tours

The Wetland Tour

The 3 hour "Wetland Tour." Three hours sounds like a long time but when you get back into the wetlands and waterways of the bay, time goes so fast and yet there is so much to see and do. Imagine gliding up alongside a marsh clump to see heron poking for fish in knee deep water... Listen to the migratory birds all talking to each other, or the songs of local wildlife that have found a place of few people and safe secluded hiding places to live. Quiet and away from car noise and people, this is a perfect binocular paradise.

The price is $45.00 and includes the rental of a single kayak, skirt, paddle, PFD (personal floatation device) and an experienced guide.

The Cunningham Slough Tour

This is a 4 hour "Cunningham Slough" paddle. We provide a guide who takes you out of the bay, across the Multnomah Channel, and into the wildlife reserve at the tip of Sauvie Island. It's untouched in there... otter, eagles, heron, local and migratory birds... It's just awesome!

Once inside the slough, we can sneak up on whatever is around each turn and just observe, listen and learn. It's still easy going paddling, not a race, and designed to be relaxing and unique.

Price is $55.00 and includes rental of the kayak, skirt, paddle, PFD, and experienced guide.

Warrior Rock Lighthouse Tour

This 4 hour tour leaves Scappoose Bay, past many historical monuments. We cross Multnomah Channel and paddle past the historical St. Helens Ship yards. There you will see what remains of the "ways" where they launched their newly constructed 5 masted sailing ships. Then we paddle around the north tip of Sauvie Island and land on a spectacular beach just north of the lighthouse. We hike down to the lighthouse looking for treasures on the beach as we go.

Price is $55.00 and includes rental of the kayak, skirt, paddle, PFD and experienced guide.

Nocturnal Tour

Our Nocturnal Tours are a three hour paddle in the calm wetlands of Scappoose Bay by the light of the sunset and the full moon. We often see many amazing sights, including bald eagles, blue heron, beautiful sunsets, and tranquil wetland settings. Additional photos of our recent nocturnal tours can be found on our Facebook page.

Customers are supplied with life-jackets, paddles, and stable recreational kayaks equipped with glow-sticks for nighttime visibility. All of our night tours are staffed with several experienced tour guides to ensure that clients experience a safe and enjoyable paddle.

The price is $45.00 and includes a flat bottomed recreational kayak, PFD, paddle, glow sticks, and a experienced guide.

Group tours to Belize, Central America

We're very proud to tell you in February, 2006, we took a 9 day tour of Belize with the owners of Tropical Dreams Resorts and Expeditions. They showed us a wonderful time. These warm and friendly people have got the best of the best in tours and activities. We went kayaking in mangrove lagoons, canoed down untouched jungle rivers, inner tubed along bamboo cover streams while watching iguanas and howler monkeys, hiked and explored Mayan ruins, and rode in their 36 foot dive boat to go snorkeling off beautiful reefs on remote Carribean Islands.

We've been looking for a way to offer tours to Belize in the winter season and now we can offer them all year round! There are a variety of packages and lengths of tours. You can do all of them or pick and choose depending on the time you have to spend. Our winter dates have been set and we're all excited to have you join us!

For our KALIEDOSCOPE OF BELIZE TOUR, which is an 8 day / 7 night variety of Mayan Ruins exploration, jungle tubing, river kayaking, Carribean Island kayaking and snorkeling, there are still spots available for the November 2008, December 2008, January 2009, February and March 2009. If these do not work for you, we are making tours all year long... you set the dates that work for you!

Call us for prices, a DVD of the eight day tour with a greater description of the activities and things you will want to know before going and other topics ... we'd love to tell you about it to learn more about these wonderful escapes.

For dates on any of our tours, please call 503-397-2161
